I received a bachelor of science degree in early childhood education from The University of Georgia in 2000.  In 2005, I graduated from Piedmont College with a master of arts in early childhood education.  I later earned my educational specialist degree in curriculum and instruction from Piedmont College in 2007.

I am a veteran teacher with 17 years of experience in grades K-5.  I have worked in both Georgia and in New York as an educator.  I relocated to Alabama in 2016, and I am excited to be teaching in Hoover City.

I live in Hoover, Alabama with my husband and our three boys.  My husband is an active duty soldier in the US Army.  He has over 19 years in the service, with 4 deployments to Iraq under his belt.  He is currently stateside, and we are hopeful he will not deploy again in the near future.  My oldest son is 8. He attends South Shades Crest as a 3rd grader. I am enjoying having him in the building where I teach.  My two younger sons are 4 and 2.  My hands and my heart are full!
